Georgian 18k Gold Turquoise Long Guard Chain musical Birmingham 1863DATE: Georgian, c. 1780 A wonderful antique long guard chain dating from the Georgian period, circa 1780. It's crafted in 18k yellow gold, with the addition of two small turquoise stones set in the ornate clasp. The cage links somewhat remind me of little hot air balloons, maybe 'hot air balloon link' ;). It has a wearable length of 42 inches and remains in great condition.
