A BNC Adapter is required to connect to a handheld radio. Please visit our BNC Antenna Adapters for Handheld Radios page. NOTE: The center conductor inside the NMO antenna stud is not solid metal and can be damaged if overtightened. As shown in the photo above, when installing the NMO nut, we recommend holding the wrench vertically to reduce torque and overtightening.
