1920s Gilt Tomato Box modern A beautiful antique cluster ringDATE: Art Deco, c. 1920 Cool antique box formed in the shape of a tomato, complete with sepals (the green leaf things at the top) and stalk. It's heavy, likely crafted in gilt brass, and I have no idea what its intended purpose was. For storing next year's tomato seeds, perhaps? Dates from the Art Deco period, circa 1920. MEASUREMENTS 5. 9 x 4. 5cm (width by height) WEIGHT 170. 3g MARKS No marks present CONDITION Good, with strong antique patina.
