Victorian Diamond Swallow Bird Brooch Amethyst Circa 1880-90 in fitted boxA beautiful and substantial rose cut diamond pav set swallow brooch in flight set in silver and gold. This swallow has detailed cabochon ruby eyes and three demantoid garnets on his beak. The total diamond carat weight is 1. 6 carats, colour H I and clarity VS1 SI1. The brooch fitting has a safety chain that is removeable. It has a French shell 14ct hallmark. Circa 1870. The brooch measures: 6. 9cm x 4. 2cm.
